Margaret Tullius Obituary

Margaret Louise Tullius, 71 of Glassport (formerly McKeesport) died Thursday Oct. 18, 2012 at the Center for Compassionate Care in Mt. Lebanon. She was born April 19, 1941 in Connellsville, PA to the late Betty Chorpenning. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard James Tullius. Louise was a retired art instructor for both the McKeesport and South Allegheny school districts. She was a 1960 graduate of West Newton HS, received her BS in Art Education from Edinboro University in 1964 and subsequently attended Penn State Univ. and Indiana University of Pennsylvania furthering her education. Louise was a former member of the Vista Volunteers in Service to America, the Domestic Sister Program of the US Peace Corps, the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and The Amateur Theatrics. She was also a former member of the McKeesport and Clairton chapters of Eastern Star, past Worthy High Priestess, Uniontown Advisor for Western PA and the White Shrine of Jerusalem (personal page for the Supreme Worthy High Priestess). Survivors Include: Daughter: Audrey Tullius, Monessen, PA Son: Richard P. (Summer) Tullius, Kannapolis, NC 5 Grandchildren: Larry, Fallon, Emanuel, Sarah and Scott The family will receive friends Thursday Oct. 25, 2012 from 2-4, 6-8 pm at the E. C. Finney Funeral Home, Inc. 235 Monongahela Ave., Glassport, PA 15045. A funeral Service will be held Friday 10 am from the funeral home with interment to follow in West Newton Cemetery.
