Jeb Stuart Furlong
Obituary
Jeb Stuart Furlong, 13 of Clairton, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022. He was born in 2009 and adopted at 2 years old from Animal Friends of Pittsburgh in 2011. Jeb is survived by parents Lee and Dolores Furlong, and fur-sibling Mandy with whom he was very close. Jeb was preceded in death by fur-sibling Lindy “Lin-Lin” Furlong. He enjoyed eating, sleeping and going bye-bye in the car, and would always perk-up at the mention of ice cream. Jeb always liked to be called “handsome” and identified not so much as a breed, but a Heinz-57 type of dog. May he rest in peace, and chase all of the other dogs in heaven. Arrangements have been entrusted to Scott M. Finney.
They will not go quietly, the pets who've shared our lives.
In subtle ways they let us know t heir spirit still survives.
Old habits still can make us think we hear them at the door
Or step back when we drop a tasty morsel on the floor.
Our feet still go around the place the food dish used to be,
And, sometimes, coming home at night, we miss them terribly.
And although time may bring new friends and a new food dish to fill,
That one place in our hearts belongs to them... and it always will.
