Gerald Thomas Burger

Gerald Thomas “Boogs” Burger, 74 of Glassport, passed away on April 24, 2021 at UPMC McKeesport. He was born in McKeesport on March 21, 1947 to the late George and Anna Reskovac Burger. Gerald was the loving husband of 35 years to Luanne Gabelli Burger. He is survived by his wife Luanne, his sons Thomas (Stacey) Burger, Robert Goldberg, Clinton (Nicole) Goldberg, Michael Goldberg, and Eric (Ashlee) Goldberg, as well as his daughters Dana (Robert) Burger-Carney, Lori Goldberg-Moninger, Erin (Rob) Goldberg, and Holly (Chevy) Goldberg. He is also survived by his grandchildren Willie, Chelsea, Alyssa, Heather, Kayla, Douglas, and Addison, Abby, Clint Jr., Nalayah, Namir, Amani, Yusuf, Jaylee, Ava, Autumn, Dylan, Gracynn, and Logan as well as his great-grandson Zane. Gerald was preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Burger-DeRoss, and his brothers Lawrence and Edward Burger. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, enjoyed woodworking, writing, drawing, and playing instruments. His family fondly remembers his dry sense of humor and wit. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and pets. Following a victory over cancer, he enjoyed going on car rides and picnics with his wife Louann in his Miata, which he affectionately named “Little Lu”. Family and friends will be received on Thursday April 29, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 at E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Ave, Glassport, PA 15045. A service will take place at 10 am on Friday April 30, 2021 at St. Patrick Church, 312 32nd Street McKeesport, PA 15132, to be followed by interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Vue.
