Thomas Charles Harsha, 72, of Glassport, previously of Belle Vernon, passed away March 29, 2016 at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh. He was born January 24, 1944 in Charleroi to the late John Richmond Harsha and Anna Mae Harn. Thomas is survived by sister, Elsie (Dale) Williams of Harrisburg; step-sister, Rebecca “Becky” (Kenneth) Sprowls of Washington, PA; step-brother Cliff Harn; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, & friends. Tom was also preceded in death by brother, John Richard Harsha. He showed joy and a smile for all. He attended Belle Vernon Presbyterian Church and LaGrange Elementary. He resided at Winter’s Haven assisted living in Glassport for 10 years before moving to Village at Pennwood in Wilkinsburg. Tom, born with Cerebral Palsy, donated his body for research, through Humanity Gifts Registry, to the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Arrangements have been entrusted to S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. A memorial service to celebrate his life is scheduled for April 17, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Port Vue United Methodist Church, 1565 Washington Blvd., Port Vue, PA 15133.
