Theresa Rivetti

Theresa Aversa Rivetti, 95, of Elizabeth formerly of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born in Pizzoni, Prov. DiCatanzaro, Italy on October 28th, 1923 to the late Domenick and Lucia Donato Aversa. Theresa was the loving wife of 33 years, to the late Charles Rivetti. She is survived by her step children Andrea Rivetti Dotson, of N. Tonawanda, NY; Chuck (Shelley) Rivetti of Johnstown, PA; grandchildren, Cindy Filia, of Elizabeth, PA; Michael (Kim) Filia, of Elizabeth, PA; Rickilynn McDonald, of N. Tonawanda, N.Y.; Gregory (Jessica) Cook of N. Tonawanda, N.Y.; Katie (Ben) Sechrist, of Sayre, PA, and Andrew (Shanice) Rivetti, of Fredericksburg, VA, as well as many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Theresa was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Filia; her sister Marianna (Francesco) Marino and brother Nicola (Connie) Aversa. She was a retired employee of Giant Eagle where she worked as a clerk. Theresa was a member of Holy Spirit Church in West Mifflin, the previous Saint Paulinas Church in Clairton, and a member of The Sons Of Italy, in Glassport. She enjoyed baking, cooking and loved being a grandmother. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, Pa. 15025. A service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 to be followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery, 718 Hazelwood Ave, Pittsburgh.
