Sidney Thomas Cyphert

Sidney “Dusty” Thomas Cyphert III, 66, of Elizabeth, formerly of Brookville, PA, passed away at home on Sunday, October 28, 2018. He was born May 24, 1952 in Pittsburgh to the late Sidney T. and Delores Hutchins Cyphert II. Dusty is survived by his wife of 35 years, Patricia J. Gumpher Kristofik; sons, Sidney T. (Melissa) Longo of St. Petersburg, FL, Ryan Thomas Cyphert of Elizabeth; daughter, Melissa Cyphert of Versailles Boro; brothers, Donald (Diane) Cyphert of Jacksonville, FL, Allen Dale Cyphert of Michigan; sisters, Sharon (Thomas) Fye of Strattanville, PA, Sandra Patterson of McKeesport, Linda Walker of Jacksonville, FL, Dana (Jim) Clark of Orange Park, FL; numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Dusty was preceded in death by brothers, Richard Cyphert, Robert (Sharon) Cyphert and sister, Carol Gumpher. He was a graduate of Clarion Limestone High School, served in the US Coast Guard, was a cook at various restaurants (mostly in FL), was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, enjoyed building model cars, and was an auto mechanic. Visitation will take place from 5 – 8 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at E. C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Avenue, Glassport, PA 15045.
