Robert Firczak Obituary

Robert “Cool Breeze” Firczak, 81 of Clairton, formerly of Elizabeth, passed away at home on Thursday November 16, 2017. He was born February 26, 1936 in Arnold City to the late John and Anna Zapko Firczak. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary Lou Shamber Firczak; son, John R. (Sheila Cook) Firczak of Monessen; granddaughter, Brooke Anne Firczak; twin brother, John (Pauline) Firczak of Bowdoin, ME; nieces/nephews, great nieces/nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Furcini. He was a 1954 graduate of Elizabeth High School, attended PIA, served in the United States Air Force, was a member of St Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton, VFW Post 803 in Wilson, American Legion Post 721 in Pleasant Hills, Butler’s Golf Course, and The Strategical Air Command in Topeka Kansas. Robert enjoyed golf, bowling fishing, playing pool, bird watching, and crossword puzzles. Family and friends will be received Monday November 20, 2017 from 2 – 6 pm at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. A memorial service will take place immediately following visitation at the funeral home at 6:00 pm.
