Richard John Olar

Richard John Olar, 63, of Clairton, passed away on March 8, 2012 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 29, 1948 in Pittsburgh to the late John and "Patsy" Abigale Ross Olar. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. He formerly worked in security at Best Buy and for Gregg Security. He was a member of the WACC (Wilson American Citizen Club) and the VFW Post 803 in Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Miller Olar, 4 children, Charlotte (John) Saunders of West Mifflin, Megan (Rich Harbin) Tomasino of Jefferson Hills, Tony Tomasino of Pittsburgh and Jaymee (Keith) Penrose of Indiana, grandchildren Amber and John, Jr. Saunders, Anthony Tomasino and Michael and Noah Penrose, nephew, Jeff (Brenda)Olar of Florida and great nephew Austin and brother-in-law Walt (Patricia) Miller of Pittsburgh. The family will receive friends at the S.M. Finney Funeral Home, Inc., 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton from 3-7 PM on Sunday. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 7 PM with Pastor Ben Robinson officiating. A memorial reception will be held prior to the viewing from 12-3 PM at the Wilson American Citizens Club at 500 N. State Street, Clairton on Sunday, March 11, 2012. Private inurnment will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
