Mary Raisner

Mary Raisner, 89, of McKeesport, formerly of Glassport for 76 years, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at John J. Kane Regional Center in McKeesport. She was born March 23, 1929 in Glassport to the late John and Mary Bednar Popovich. Mary was the loving wife of the late Lawrence Raisner who passed away in 1992. She is survived by sisters, Elizabeth Smoot of McKeesport, Anna Stanko of McKeesport, Helen (Thomas Andrews) McBurney of North Huntingdon; special niece, Mary Moonis of North Huntingdon; many other nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by son, Larry L. Raisner; sister, Irene Dunlop; brothers, John, Mike, Andrew, Stephen and Joseph Popovich. She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in McKeesport and worked in the cafeteria at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic School for 36 years. Visitation will take place Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 4 – 8 pm (Enlightenment Service at 7) at E. C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Avenue, Glassport, PA 15045. A “Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial” will take place Friday, July 20, 2018 at 12:30 pm at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in McKeesport followed by interment at St. Nicholas Cemetery in North Versailles.
