Julia Marie Porretta Obituary

Julia Marie Porretta, 94, of Holland, Michigan, formerly of Clairton, died Sunday, April 12, 2009, in a local nursing home. Norn in Ponza, Italy, she lived in Clairton until 2001 when she moved to Holland to be near her son. Julia was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church in Holland and a former member of St. Paulinus Church in Clairton. She was preceded in death by husband Donato in 1973; grandson Daniel Porretta in 1986; and daughter-in-law Debra Porretta in 2007. She is survived by her daughter Angeline Juliot of Hamilton Square, NJ; son Daniel Porretta of Holland; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; ine great-great granddaughter; sisters Rose Znavor of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Catherine Molinari of Clairton; sister-in-law Christine Ciscusi of Clairton; nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, April 18, 2009, at 10 a.m. in St. Clare of Assisi Church. Burial will be in St. Clare Cemetery. Friends may greet the family Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m., prior to the service in the S.M. Finney Funeral Home, 432, N. 6th and Walnut St., Clairton. Memorial gifts may be given to Hospice of Holland.
