Greg Unrath

Greg Unrath 54, of Greenock, formerly of Pleasant Hills, entered his eternal life peacefully, Wed. May 2, 2012 with family by his side in Mon Valley Hospital after a long illness. Born September 14, 1957, Greg was the beloved son of William and Marlene Unrath, loving husband of Marcia (Mills) Unrath , cherished brother of William, Jr., Douglas, Patrick "Sonny" (Jane), Darrell (Laurie), and sister Lori Ann Bagley, nephews Mike and Dylan (Helen) Unrath and Ryan (Sarah) Cunning, brother-in-law of Leslee (Rick) Hinkle, nieces Lindsey and Jesse Hinkle, great nephews Jesse Boehm and Ryan Cunning Jr., treasured cousin Steven Repko of Arizona. Greg had a special bond with his co-workers in the lab (He called them his second family) and many other friends at Mon Valley Hospital. Greg was an avid Steeler, Nascar, and Indy car fan. He liked to fish, and enjoyed his card games with the Lab poker group. Greg was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School and CCAC. He was employed as a Lab Technician at Mon Valley Hospital for 23 years. Greg touched many lives with his love, humor and caring ways and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Western PA Humane Society. Friends are welcome from 1-3 and 6-8 PM on Friday, May 11th at S. M.
