George John Dzuro

George John Dzuro, 83, of Glassport (formerly of McKeesport) passed away on July 20, 2013. He was born on April 8, 1930 in McKeesport to the late John and Mary (Gaspar) Dzuro. He was a retired roll cutter from Continental Can Company in West Mifflin and was the owner of Diamond Press Printing in Homeville. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Meredith. He was an honorary life member of Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Dept. #1, a member of the Dravosburg American Legion post #380 where he served for 27 years as Adjutant and Santa Claus. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Carol Ann Williams Dzuro, sons, Greg M Dzuro of Dravosburg, David (Vanessa) Dzuro of Indiana, PA, daughters, Shari (Jim) Adamson of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Cathy (Chad) Kirkwood of Liberty Boro and his sister Mary P. Zuro of McKeesport and his 9 grandchildren, Ashley, Bradley, Morgan, Sydney, Madison, Elyssa, Ethan, Izabel and Zdeno.. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Agnes Petro and Ellen Dzuro and his brothers, Joseph Zuro and Michael Dzuro. Friends and family will be received at the I.M. Finney Funeral Home, Inc., 203 4th Street, Dravosburg on Tuesday, July 23,2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. There will be a service by the Dravosburg Vol. Fire Dept. at 7:30 pm, the American Legion at 7:45 PM and a funeral service at 8 PM. Inurnment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers family is requesting donations be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 50 Moffett Street, Mt. Lebanon, PA., 15243.
