Constance Josephine Assenti

Constance Josephine Assenti, 91, of Clairton, formerly of Vestaburg, PA, passed away at Baldwin Health Center on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. She was born June 27, 1925 to the late Frank and Enrica Marini DeFabbo. Constance was the loving wife of the late Joseph Assenti. She is survived by daughters Denise Assenti of Clairton, Natalie (Thomas) Hathazy of Pittsburgh; sister Rose (Sonny) Rager of Loveland, CO; brother Samuel DeFabbo of Denver, CO; grandson Eric (Sandra) Hathazy of Jefferson Hills; granddaughter Nicole (Jon) Bilski of Jefferson Hills; great grandchildren Casey, Colby, Adison; and lifelong friend Dinean Follador Benack of Pleasant Hills. In addition to her parents and husband, Constance was preceded in death by sister Madeline Hodinko and brothers Anthony, Innocente, Dominic, Frank, and Henry DeFabbo. She was a member of the I.S.D.A., was employed by the City of Clairton School District, a member of St. Clare of Assisi parish, enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and spending time with her grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 6, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. Service will take place Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Clairton, PA, followed by interment at St. Clare Cemetery in Clairton.
