Allen Soltis Obituary

Allen Lewis Soltis, 66, of Dravosburg, formerly of Duquesne, passed away suddenly at Jefferson Regional Medical Center on Saturday, May 23, 2015. He was born July 27, 1948, in Braddock, to the late William and Barbara Ballock Soltis. Allen is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Diana M. Wenzel Soltis; daughters, Marie L. (Jim) Brajdic, of North Fayette, Paula A. (Reed) Tripp, of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, and Karin M. (Randy) Cochenour, of Economy Borough; brothers, William (Faith) Soltis, of Antioch Calif., and Lewis (Janet) Soltis, of Pittsburgh's North Side; grandchildren, Alyssa Brajdic, Zack Soltis, Leikyn Cochenour, Rani Cochenour and Jadyn Cochenour; and nieces and one nephew. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Soltis. Allen was a 1966 graduate of McKeesport Technical High School, employed for 27 years as a dispatcher for PAT, a salesman at Gander Mountain Store in West Mifflin, a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church in West Mifflin, an avid hunter, and a member of Clairton Sportsman Club. He also loved antique cars and planes and "oldies but goodies" music. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at I. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 Fourth St., Dravosburg, PA 15034. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church in West Mifflin. Interment will follow at Lebanon Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to The American Lung Association, Pulmonary Fibrosis Division, 810 River Ave. No. 140, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.
