Linda Simon Obituary

Linda Mae “Lil Lindy from Mossburgs” Finney Simon, 74 who resided in Connellsville for 50 years, passed away on April 10th, 2024 at her sons home. She was born in McKeesport on May 24th, 1949 to the late Jack and Dolores Gouker Finney. She was married to Fred Simon. She is survived by her sons Mat Simon of Youngwood, Tony (April McFadden) Simon of Scottdale, her sisters Cheryl (Jake) Evansky of Charleroi, Ruth (Westley) Hanburg of Jefferson Hills, Bonnie Lemley of Belle Vernon, and her brother Allen (Bea) Gray of Layton, grandchildren Mathew, Cody, Kyler, Mylee, Alivia, Lillyonah, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. She enjoyed taking care of the house and pond. She loved to pass the time by sewing. Linda worked at Mossburgs Restaurant for 15 years as a waitress and made many memories there. Family and friends will be received on Monday April 15th, 2024 from 12 P.M. – 1 P.M. at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St, Clairton, PA 15025. Service will take place at 1 P.M. followed by interment at St. Clare Cemetery at 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to defray costs. Online condolences may be offered at www.finneyfuneralhome.com
