Meribeth DePietro Obituary

Meribeth Stinner Malcom DePietro, 56, passed away Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Southwestern Assisted Care Residence in West Mifflin, where she resided these past three years. Meribeth was born Dec. 20, 1958, in McKeesport, and raised in Coal Valley, Jefferson Hills. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Elmer and Elizabeth Allen Stinner; and a brother, Raymond Stinner. Meribeth is survived by a sister, Roberta (Paul) Estep, of Buena Vista; two brothers, Ralph Stinner, of Connellsville, and Robert (Linda) Stinner, of West Mifflin, cousin/caregiver, JoAnn Smith (David) Young, of Swissvale; loving aunts and uncle, aunt, Irene Smith, of Coal Valley, aunt, Mary Alice Morgan, formerly of West Mifflin, uncle, August Stinner, of Southwestern Assisted Care Residence, (formerly of White Oak); and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Meribeth, having lived her entire life in this area, graduated in 1976 from Thomas Jefferson High School, attended CCAC South Campus, and in her youth, attended Pine Run United Methodist Church in Clairton. After 20 years of dedicated service as a claims customer service supervisor for the Verizon Yellow/Super Pages (formerly Penn Del Directory Corp.) of Monroeville, she retired and lived so bravely these past 10 years. Family and friends will be received from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015, at S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. Sixth St., Clairton, PA 15025. Memorial service will take place immediately after visitation, at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pleasant Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Huntington Disease Society of America.
