Mary C. Ferko

Mary C. (Manno) Ferko, 62, of Bethel Park, formerly of Glassport, passed to her heavenly home Saturday, June 28, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 14, 1951, in McKeesport, to the late Larry and Josephine Manno. She was the beloved wife of 39 years to John "Jack" Ferko, of Bethel Park; and loving mother to her children, Brian (Jenna) Ferko, of Glassport, Kristen (Steven) Hampton, of Shaler and Jason (Kerri) Ferko, of Glassport. Mary adored her new grandson, Conor Hampton. She is also survived by her brother, Vincent (Nina) Manno, of Grove City; sisters-in-law, Kathleen (Terry) Smedley, Denice (Keith) Adams and Terri Ferko; brother-in-law, Joseph (Bonny) Ferko; father-in-law, John L. Ferko; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Mary was retired from Tube City IMS in Glassport, where she worked in the accounts receivable department for about 40 years. She was a member of Queen of the Rosary Church, Glassport, and former member of the choir. Mary hosted many holidays, family and friend gatherings, where she welcomed and entertained all with her special Italian meals. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family and friends. Family and friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Ave., Glassport, PA 15045. A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in Queen of the Rosary Church, Glassport, with Father Casimir Kedzierski, pastor, and Father Ernest J. Strelinski, uncle, as co-celebrants. Entombment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum, North Versailles.
