Magdalen Slack Obituary

Magdalen “ Maggie” L. Slack, 90 formerly of Pittsburgh and West Mifflin passed away Wednesday February 5, 2014 at Center for Compassionate Care. She was born May 30, 1923 in Pittsburgh to the late Charles Goettler and Magdalen Burr G. Zorn. She was preceded in death by husband John Slack, 1996. They were married 52 years. Magdalen liked to work in her garden, go to the casino, and bingo.She was a member of Holy Spirit Church. She is survived by 2 daughters; Louise (Bill) Krampf of Southgate Mich, Josephine Piper of White Oak. 1 son John Slack of West Mifflin. 2 brothers Paul Goettler of Pittsburgh, Joseph (Agnes) Zorn of Pittsburgh 4 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 brother Edward Goettler. Viewing is private. A Mass will be held Sat., February 8, 2014 at Holy Spirit Church 10:00 a.m., interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park. Services are entrusted to I.M.
