Gerald Cola Obituary

Gerald “Coke” John Cola Sr., 83, of Clairton, formerly of Glassport, passed away at home on Monday, September 18, 2017. He was born September 15, 1934 in McKeesport to the late Pasquale and Irma Stipa Cola. Gerald is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elsie Germek Cola; sons, Gerald J. (Shari) Cola Jr. of Clairton, Gregory Cola of McKeesport; sister, Patricia (Angelo) Donofrio of Glassport; step-grandchildren, Jessica, Malarie, and Richard “R.J.”; step-great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Ian, Serenity, Alyssa, Colton, and Devlin. He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton, a veteran of the US Army, a retiree of Peoples Natural Gas Company’s Monongahela Office, enjoyed sports, high school football, gardening, collecting coins, spending time with his family and was an animal lover. Arrangements have been entrusted to S. M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. Interment will be private at Calvary Cemetery in Port Vue.
