Carole Shaffer Obituary

Carole Ann Shaffer, 79, of Clairton passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at home. She was born March 8, 1936, in Clairton, to the late Roy and Mary Pholar Nordine. Carole is survived by her loving husband, Raymond C. Shaffer; daughters, Jean (Barry) Cottom, of Jefferson Hills, and Nancy (Dennis) Hornfeck, of Finleyville; son, Raymond M. (Susan) Shaffer, of Clairton; brother, Charles Nordine, of Clairton; and seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Along with her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her sister, Vivian Kerekes; and brothers, Roy, Conrad and John Nordine. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice for taking such wonderful care of Carole and her family. Arrangements have been entrusted to SM FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. Sixth St., Clairton, PA 15025. Services will be private.
